About this release

A surprising IPA brewed with matcha and honey. The earthy, lightly bitter matcha notes combine with the sweetness of honey and the characteristic hop bitterness of an IPA, resulting in a unique and refreshing drinking profile. Matchaman comes from the kettle of Abomination Brewing Company, an American brewery from North Haven. This special beer combines three very different flavor elements that complement each other in an elegant way. The matcha brings a rustic, green bitterness that remains subtle because it is well balanced by the honey. That honey not only adds a soft sweetness, but also gives the beer a silky texture. The IPA characteristics underneath provide the necessary punch and freshness. This 7% strong beer in the 473ml format is perfect for those who dare to experiment and are looking for something other than standard hop bombs. The combination of Asian spice notes with classic American IPA style makes this an absolute eye opener. Matchaman proves that unconventional ingredients in experienced hands can lead to something truly special.
