Rich, powerful and with a velvety smooth texture. Barril is a bold creation by Belgian brewery BABELEIR Beer & Blending from Namur, somewhere between an imperial stout and a black barleywine. Carefully aged for 12 months in 40-year-old Rhum Clément and cognac barrels, this exceptional beer combines the warmth of alcohol and notes of leather with a subtle sweetness. With an alcohol percentage of 13.3 percent, this 750ml bottle is a true character-filled drinker. Aromas of dried fruit, intense cocoa and brown sugar unfold with woody notes, a hint of vanilla and a long, warm and elegantly liqueur-like finish. The result is a beer that calls to be enjoyed moment by moment. A beer to sip slowly as a digestif, for example after a full meal or at the end of the evening.
