Double IPA aged on Gouden Carolus Brandy Barrels. This exceptional IPA matured for 6 months in barrels and subsequently received a fresh dry hop. The result is a unique combination of barrel depth with notes of brandy and oak, combined with fresh hop aromas of citrus and tropical fruit. A perfect balance between complexity and freshness. This ambitious beer comes from the brewery of Brouwerij Kees from Middelburg, a brewery known for its flavorful, fruity and hoppy creations. With their motto "life is too short for boring beers" Kees always creates beers with a unique twist, and this Barrel Project 2026 is the perfect proof of that. The combination of six months of aging in Gouden Carolus Brandy Barrels with a fresh dry hop has resulted in something special here. With an alcohol content of 8.0 percent and a full 330ml bottle, this Double IPA offers an intense yet balanced experience. The added complexity of brandy and oak is beautifully balanced with the fresh citrus and tropical fruit notes from the hop addition.
