This beer comes from the creative spirit of Brouwerij Kees from Middelburg, a brewery that doesn't follow convention. With the motto 'life is too short for boring beers' Kees continuously creates beers with a unique twist. For this Barrel Project they selected a classic barleywine and aged it in whiskey barrels from Het Anker, resulting in a beer with considerable depth. With an alcohol content of 11.5 percent, this 330ml bottle offers a full, warm drink that should be enjoyed slowly. The aging in whiskey barrels adds subtle nuances to the strong malt foundation, where the oak and spirit blend harmoniously with the natural notes of the beer itself.
