For this barleywine, Heritage Gold Malt was chosen as the base, complemented by a generous amount of Honey Malt. Both malts impart subtle honey notes to the beer that blend beautifully with a year of aging in bourbon barrels. The result is a complex and deep beer with pronounced flavors of honey, biscuit and toffee, supplemented with soft notes of cherry, almond and vanilla. Despite its young age, this barleywine drinks like a beer that has aged much longer.
