About this release

Brewed with two types of oats that make up more than a quarter of this beer's malt bill. Locally produced Gloagburn farm oat malt grown 22 miles from the brewery, and Golden Naked Oats from Simpsons malt, which are lightly caramelised and give a nutty creamy character. The combination of this with additions of chocolate malts and roasted barley creates a beer with a silky smooth mouthfeel, subtle chocolate and coffee notes. This Double Oat Stout comes from Holy Goat Brewing, an innovative Scottish brewery from Dundee that specialises in mixed fermentations and wood-aged beers. With an alcohol content of 8.4 percent and a volume of 440ml, this beer offers a substantial body and complex flavour profile. It is best served at 9 degrees Celsius, where the subtle notes come fully into their own.
