The inspiration for the label comes from the famous character from the work of author Cornelia Neel Hubertina Doff. In 1907, Neel Doff settled in the country house Chalet des Houx on Nieuwstraat in Genk, which later became known as Villa Keetje Tippel. Here she began writing again and spent her summer vacations, until a few years before her death. BRAUW combines German precision with creative craftsmanship and is known for modern, refined beers.
