This Spanish brewery is the project of Menno Olivier, the founder of the Dutch Brewery de Molen, where he applies his expertise and brewing style in a new environment. The rich malty base bursting with notes of brown sugar, date and candied fruit is beautifully balanced by the fresh, slightly tart character of the cherries. Despite the robust alcohol content of 12.8%, this beer is nowhere too heavy or sticky. The mouthfeel is velvety smooth, syrupy and warming, a true treat for lovers of strong, complex beers. The Crimson King showcases the craftsmanship and brewing knowledge that Menno Olivier is known for, now from Súria in Spain. This is a beer for those who enjoy full, intriguing flavors with a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity.
