Wipers Times Blond is a refined blonde specialty beer from Kazematten brewery in the Belgian city of Ypres with an alcohol content of 6.2% that manages to combine both complexity and accessibility. The beer is brewed with four carefully selected grains and exclusively locally grown hops, so that every sip offers a unique and balanced taste experience. It is finished with a mix of four different spices, including the seed of the medicinal Milk Thistle, also known as the 'blessed thistle'. This thistle also adorns the cover of the historic satirical trench newspaper The Wipers Times, a nod to the rich background of the beer. In the glass, Wipers Times Blond looks intensely golden yellow, with an attractive, sturdy cream-colored head that slowly fades and emphasizes the clarity of the beer. The aroma is an elegant mix of citrus and lime accents, subtle floral notes and velvety soft vanilla.
