About this release

American Barley Wine aged in White Port barrels, 10% alcohol. This barrel aged barley wine from Berghoeve Brouwerij gains a soft, sweet and lightly fruity undertone from the White Port barrels, combined with the rich maltiness of a classic barley wine. Elegant and complex with notes of dried fruit and honey. This 330ml bottle of Klabats! BA White Port is a special creation in which the American barley wine tradition gets a Portuguese twist. Aging in White Port barrels gives the beer a refined character that flows soft and elegant across the palate. The combination of sweet wine influence with the depth of roasted malt grain and the tones of dried fruit and honey makes this a beer with considerable complexity. With 10% alcohol, Klabats! BA White Port has enough body and strength to support the different flavor layers. This is a beer for those who love aged, elegant craft beers and are not afraid of deeper flavor profiles. Perfect for quiet moments where you can give this beer the attention it deserves. A worthy masterpiece from Berghoeve Brouwerij that shows how traditional brewing craft and innovative barrel aging can go hand in hand.
