De Dulle Teve is brewed in the tradition of a Belgian Tripel by the legendary Brouwerij De Dolle Brouwers from Diksmuide, Belgium. This unconventional brewery is renowned worldwide for their powerful and unconventional beers. The high gravity of this tripel stems from large quantities of pale malt combined with pale candi sugar in the brew kettle, resulting in a robust and complex beer with an alcohol content of 10 percent. De Dulle Teve is best consumed within two to three years without significant flavor changes, making this tripel excellent for collectors. Further aging, up to ten years, will cause the beer to become slightly darker and lose some of its bitterness, allowing its character to evolve further. The bitterness of approximately thirty IBU is due to Goldings hops in the brew kettle, which adds a classic and refined bitter note. This beer is best served at a temperature of nine degrees Celsius.
