About this release

An exceptional blend of two powerful imperial stouts: King Void and Goatsmoker. The latter has been aged for 16 months in a mix of Speyside (Craigellachie) and peated Islay (Laphroaig) whisky casks. The decadent character of King Void, with additions of coffee, vanilla and cacao nibs, blends seamlessly with the intensely smoky Goatsmoker. The result is a complex imperial stout with aromas of espresso, smoked meat, campfire and vanilla. Holy Goat Brewing from Scottish Dundee has created a masterpiece with Whisky BA Voidsmoker. The brewery is known for its mixed fermentation and wood-aged beers, inspired by traditional Belgian methods. At Holy Goat Brewing they use diverse yeasts and bacteria to create complex and layered beers, and this blend is a beautiful example of that. With an alcohol content of 11.0 percent and a volume of 750ml, this is a beer to be enjoyed slowly. The combination of whisky casks, smoky character and subtle sweet notes makes this a special experience.
