About this release

For the third chapter of the Imperial Stout collaboration series with Erik Busch of LongStory Coffee, Millpond Brewing drew inspiration from popular coffee drinks from his café. LongStory Chapter 3 is a Caffè Mocha-inspired Imperial Stout that aged for more than 15 months in a Bourbon barrel from Switchgrass Spirits. It was then conditioned on barrel-aged coffee from LongStory, itself aged in a used Millpond Imperial Stout barrel, and Tanzanian cacao nibs. With an alcohol content of 12.7 percent, this is a full, intense experience. This collaboration between Millpond Brewing from Millstadt and LongStory Coffee results in a beer that caters to true enthusiasts of complex, rich, and profound stouts. The extended aging in Bourbon barrel combined with barrel-aged coffee and cacao nibs creates a layered taste experience that is interesting not only for coffee lovers. With an impressive Untappd rating of 4.39 out of 5 stars, this stout proves its quality and craftsmanship.
