About this release

The annual moment that every Nøgne Ø fan looks forward to is in sight again. Last year they launched the Dark Horizon editions, this time it's time for Nordic Noir. With Nordic Noir, Nøgne Ø has set the standard for the 'Norwegian Strong Ale'. Each time released in multiple variants and this time the Nordic Noir 3 has been released as a base beer and two Barrel Aged variants. They will all score well in the 4s on Untappd again and it has by now become an annual phenomenon to compare the different Barrel Aged variants and the base beer with each other. The Loupiac Barrel Aged variant offers refined, sweet and wine-like notes through aging in Loupiac barrels. With a strong 15.0 percent alcohol by volume, this is a complex and intense beer that underscores Nøgne Ø's expertise. The Norwegian brewery, founded in 2002 in Grimstad, is known for their uncompromising approach to craft beer. From their renowned Imperial Stouts to hoppy ales, Nøgne Ø has always produced beers with character and depth. Nordic Noir 3 Loupiac Barrel Aged fits perfectly into this heritage and is an absolute must-have for lovers of strong, nuanced Scandinavian beers.

About Nøgne Ø
