Barrel-aged farmhouse ale fermented with the same blend of yeasts and bacteria as the beloved Hay Day. Aged in barrels that previously contained Yasnohorodske red wine. The bouquet offers green apples, the aroma of hay, moderate acidity and a light tannin finish. This ambitious creation from Varvar Brew in Kyiv, Ukraine, is a seasoned farmhouse ale that reflects the brewery's refined ambitions. With an alcohol content of 8.0 percent, this 375ml bottle offers a complex and well-balanced taste experience. The combination of the characteristic sourdough and bacterial complex gives the Hayfield 2023 an authentic, natural fermentation that adds subtlety to every sip. The aging in red wine barrels adds elegant tannins and wine-like notes that elegantly complement the green apple and hay character. The result is a beer with depth and refinement, where the moderate acidity and fine-grained tannin finish guarantee a pleasant finish without being overpowering.
