About this release

Steenuilke started in 2009 as a collaboration between brewery De Ryck and the regional landscape organization of the Flemish Ardennes to support the little owl project in the region. This brewery from Belgian Herzele has created something special with this beer. Three special herbs that grow in the Flemish Ardennes were selected for this beer and added to the brew: sweet wood fibers, angelica and blackthorn. They give the beer its pronounced and unique spicy, peppery and slightly grassy taste. With an alcohol content of 6.5 percent, Steenuilke offers a good balance between flavor and drinkability.
