This beer comes from the cellar of Goose Island Beer Co. from Chicago, a pioneer in the American craft beer scene founded in 1988. The brewery made its name with the Bourbon County Brand Stout, one of the first American beers to be matured in bourbon barrels. With this Angel's Envy 2-Year Cask Finish variant, Goose Island once again demonstrates its expertise with wooden barrels. The double maturation process, first in bourbon barrels followed by a second phase in Ruby Port wine barrels, creates a complex and refined stout with an alcohol content of 15.5 percent. This monumental beer is ideal for lovers of matured, full-bodied stouts with intense character.
