Approximately 30% blueberry, supplemented with black currant and a mix of stone and pip fruit for a layered, fruity whole. This melomel comes from the cellar of Pips Meadery, one of the world's best mead producers from Illinois. The Dutch word "amalgamatie" means fusion, and that is exactly what this mead does: nine different fruit varieties meld together into one harmonious whole. The dominant blueberry provides a clear flavor direction, while the black currant adds extra depth. The stone and pip fruit, from peach to pear, together form a soft foundation that completes the whole. With 14% alcohol and a volume of 375ml, this is a robust, full-bodied mead that you can age well.
